Join the celebration at the National Colonial Farm. It is 1775 and Chloe Bolton is getting married. The groom has his heart set on "going west," the bride's mother has mixed feelings, and family slave Cate is worried about her son becoming Chloe's dowry. Set outdoors against the backdrop of the farm's fields and historic farm house (c. 1770), this highly interactive performance will highlight Maryland's rich Colonial history through an entertaining look at marriage. The fun dancing-in-the alley event that makes you the star, and
benefits area children, is back, with a salsa band on an outdoor
stage getting the crowd to shake things up! The evening starts
with an hour-long salsa lesson from 6 pm–7pm, followed by a
two-set dance with a hot Latin band and a food tent. Bring a
folding chair if you want to sit; this is an outdoor event that only
moves inside the theatre if it rains. ($)
