The festival takes place in Greenbelt - one of America's first planned communities, designed and built under the Roosevelt Administration's New Deal Federal Works Program in the 1930s. Films are screened at venues throughout Greenbelt. The festival celebrates film and video features, documentaries, animations, music videos, and experimental genres of all types and lengths. Many represented works in any genre reflect the utopian ideals upon which places like Greenbelt were founded.
