University of Maryland, College Park is the University System of Maryland's flagship institution and the state's premier center of research and graduate education. The university is ranked among the nation's top 20 public research universities by U.S. News & World Report, with 30 academic programs in the top 10 and 91 in the top 25. The faculty includes three Nobel Laureates, seven Pulitzer Prize winners, and scores of Fulbright scholars.
